This Privacy Notice explains how NORMPATENT (“the Company”), acting as data controller, processes your personal data under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”) and in line with applicable data protection principles.

1. Data Controller

Your personal data is processed by NORMPATENT as the data controller, within the scope described below.

2. Personal Data We Process

  • Identity: first name, last name.
  • Contact: e-mail address, phone number, address.
  • Customer/Transaction: content of requests, applications and messages, subject of service.
  • Security/Log Data: IP address, browser and device information, visit/session records, cookie data, referrer.

3. Purposes of Processing

  • Receiving, evaluating and fulfilling your service requests and applications,
  • Communicating with you and responding to your inquiries,
  • Fulfilling contractual and legal obligations,
  • Sending newsletters/e-mails upon your request,
  • Operating, securing and improving the performance of our website,

Limited to the purposes above, your personal data may be transferred to authorised public institutions (e.g. the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office), our business partners, service providers (e.g. hosting/e-mail providers) and our international associates, in accordance with Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK.

6. Retention Periods

Your personal data is retained for as long as required by the purposes of processing and the statutory retention periods, after which it is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.

7. Your Rights (KVKK Art. 11)

  • To learn whether your personal data is processed,
  • To request information if it has been processed,
  • To learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly,
  • To know the third parties to whom data is transferred at home or abroad,
  • To request correction of incomplete/inaccurate data,
  • To request deletion/destruction where conditions are met,
  • To request notification of such actions to third parties,
  • To object to results arising from automated analysis,
  • To claim compensation for damages due to unlawful processing.

You may submit your requests, together with information verifying your identity, by e-mail to info@normpatent.com or in writing to our addresses above. Your requests will be concluded free of charge within the periods stipulated by the KVKK.

10. Visit Analytics and Traffic Data

When you visit our website, we collect visit statistics to improve the quality of our services and content. This includes the pages you visit, your IP address, approximate location (city and country), device and browser type, the referring source, and the date and time of your visit. These data are stored in our first-party analytics system hosted on our own server and are not shared with third-party advertising networks. To measure unique visitors, an anonymous identifier cookie (np_vid) is placed in your browser if you accept cookies; otherwise, anonymous measurement is performed without a persistent cookie.
